OPIOIDS

WITS provides States and local providers with a comprehensive resource to collect, track and report statewide and local efforts of programs addressing the challenges of the opioid crisis. Most importantly at the state level, WITS collects data required by the State Opioid Response (SOR) grants funded by SAMHSA. This platform allows the State to directly report all SAMHSA required data for the grant, as well as collect, manage and report on data used by the State for analysis, to support outcomes and sustainability of implemented programs. Direct services provided using SOR funds can also be tracked and billed using the Contract/Fund Management modules if desired.
Some states are implementing the WITS Warehouse modules to gather data relating to the Opioid crisis. This allows the state or county to have one place to gather client-level data from behavioral health treatment providers, Medicaid, hospitals, prescribers, public health, child and family welfare, and any other agency that has data that is helpful in understanding the nature of opioid and other addictions within the state. The warehouse modules provide the same reporting and analysis features found throughout the rest of the WITS platform.

STATE OPIOID RESPONSE GRANTS
This platform allows the State to add as many subrecipients (provider agencies, counties, or others) as desired. Each entity will only have access to their own client workflows and data, unless data is shared through a 42 CFR part 2 consent process. The State has overarching access to all data, and can specify that a County or other intermediary (ASO, MCO, etc.) has access to specific subsets of the data.
Along with providing compliance with the SOR grant, the WITS platform has modules available that allow the State to collect all client and payment SAPT Block Grant data, including priority populations for waitlist and capacity tracking. The modular platform may also be used by provider agencies as an electronic health record. It allows the collection of the data related to the grant as part of the clinical workflow in real time, making it seamless for the providers and allowing the State to manage and track their grant data in real time.
In addition to the system set up, provider and staff access modules, FEI enables the following for the SOR grant:
GPRA Tools and Uploads
Evidence Based Practices
